OUR STORY
WHO WE ARE
We are a small family owned business with midwestern roots. I am wife to Jaime and mama to Linley, and our father-son chocolate labs, Hagen and Oak. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Columbia College. From the time I was a little girl, I was frequently rearranging the bedroom I shared with my younger sister and dreaming of paint colors and room designs. I would organize all of the things: closets, drawers, my bookcase headboard and desk, you name it, even my mom's kitchen cabinets.

My love of thrifting comes from days spent organizing our own as well as frequenting local garage sales and thrift shops with my Grandma Eileen. My love of gardening is rooted in me having spent time in and enjoying the fruits of labor in my Grandma Deloris' backyard garden. Both have since passed, but I will always treasure my relationship with each of them that inevitably shaped who I am today.

HOW WE GOT STARTED
I earned my college degree and worked in the corporate world for many years, but I always knew that wasn't where I was supposed to be. My dad owned his own business and so my mind was always thinking of entrepreneurship and building a family business that afforded me flexibility in our days and the ability to stay at home with our daughter as my husband is a busy dialysis RN working varying hours each day.

As an empath who has battled anxiety for the greater part of my life, creativity keeps my mind busy. I love to learn new things and continually challenge myself. I've tried my hand at many different businesses, including developing and producing a natural bath and body care and candle line, a handcrafted children's clothing and home textiles line, and a wood decor, wood signs and DIY workshop business. I've handcrafted thousands of items, and have taught hundreds more how to make things with their hands. We've vendored at many local area markets and have sold items on Etsy.

In 2018, our family opened our first brick and mortar in the downtown I grew up in. I held many DIY workshops in the back part of the shop, created and made many pieces to sell in the shop, and thoughtfully curated a selection of gift, personal care and home decor items, many of which included other small business offerings. I believe in offering only products that I would gift, use, or put in my very own home.
WHERE WE ARE TODAY
While I love shopping the aisles at Target, perusing all the things on Amazon, and can find some really amazing pieces on my thrifting days, my true passion lies in supporting small businesses and the makers of handcrafted and/or reclaimed goods. Witnessing the entrepreneurial and DIY spirit come alive in others nourishes my heart and soul.
We are shifting our business to the online world and are venturing back into markets and our mobile business model. Stay in the know, and check out our event page to see where you can find us in person.
